Modern theatre/commercial jazz
Ages 4yrs - 18yrs
These classes follow the ISTD Modern Theatre syllabus which consists of a number of exercises and amalgamations designed to introduce rhythm & rhythmicality, technique, stretching & strengthening. The syllabus works on dance movements including practising turns, kicks & leaps. This is an ISTD Examination class and pupils aged 6years+ may be entered for ISTD Modern examinations once they reach the required standard.
This class also encompass a range of jazz styles including lyrical, technical and some basic street dance all to a varied range of music from Broadway to current chart hits. Classes involve a warm-up followed by corner work, practicing kicks, turn and jumps followed by a routine that is added to each week.
