Body Conditioning

FOR STUDENTS AGE 8+
Body conditioning is an integral part of any dancer's regime. It uses a mixture of cardio, strengthening and stretching exercises to improve the all-round strength and flexibility of a dancer. It teaches how to stretch and condition muscles to aid composure, technique and protect the muscles from damage.
Body conditioning is a functional fitness class specific to dance, which is pivotal for dancers to tone the body and improve fitness for safe execution of dance move.
Limbering teaches the dancer how to stretch and condition their muscles to aid composure, technique and protect their muscles from damage. It also helps to both tone the body and increase general fitness levels. Our body conditioning classes also always include 'Corner Work' which involves technical combinations in the form of various kick, leap and turn sequences.
This class will also work on front and box splits, nose-high kicks, fan kicks, layouts, tilts and a variety of other advanced dance moves which require flexibility.
This is an extension class and so pupils must be attending a Ballet or Modern class already. This class is for ages 8yrs+

Hair: Hair to be worn off the face ideally in a ponytail.
