FOR STUDENTS CURRENTLY TAKING GRADES 2, 3, 4 OR 5 BALLET

The main focus of the class is to give MSAOD pupils extra training hours in ballet each week in preparation for the higher ballet grades, auditions and to improve and strengthen ballet technique in addition to their graded ballet class.

The class will offer a more in-depth study of classical ballet in a more technical manner.

This weekly class will focus on giving pupils strong classical foundations and working on non-syllabus work to encourage and improve dance vocabulary. It will also assist in learning work quickly which is needed for the higher grades and for auditions.

Pre-Vocational ballet class will include specific body conditioning exercises, classical ballet technique and opportunities to develop musicality and artistry.

Additionally we will work on strengthening exercises for all ballet basics such as beautifully stretched feet, so they are strong enough for pointe work (in the future) and also how to hold turn out and maintain good posture.

This class is taken alongside their usual ballet grade class.
