Biography

Emily started dancing at the age of 2. As a child she performed in many shows and several pantomimes including Snow White at The Orchard Theatre in Dartford and appeared in the children's television programme Blue's Clues on Channel 5. At 5 years old Emily took her first ballet exam passing with Honours and from this continued to take ISTD exams in Ballet, Modern and Tap, LAMDA Drama exams as well as weekly singing lessons. At 16 she gained a place at The Miskin Theatre, North West Kent College where she studied Dance and Performing Arts and graduated with a Triple Distinction Diploma. Following this Emily auditioned for vocational colleges getting accepted at several and being awarded a full scholarship. Emily went on to complete her ISTD DDE (Diploma In Dance Education) qualification, the government recognised examination for all dance teachers in Modern Theatre and Tap at The Deborah Day Theatre School.

Emily started teaching for MSAOD in 2012 and is an integral part of the teaching faculty teaching a large proportion of the classes.
