Biography

Emily started dancing at the age of 2 at a local dance school and hasn't stopped since! As a child she performed in many shows and several pantomimes including Snow White at The Orchard Theatre in Dartford and appeared in the children's television programme Blue's Clues on Channel 5. At 5 years old Emily took her first ballet exam passing with Honours and from this continued to take I.S.T.D exams in Ballet, Modern Theatre and Tap, LAMDA Drama exams as well as weekly singing lessons.

At 16 she gained a place at The Miskin Theatre, North West Kent College where she studied Dance and Performing Arts and graduated with a Triple Distinction Diploma. Following this Emily auditioned for vocational colleges getting accepted at several and being awarded a full scholarship. Emily went on to complete her I.S.T.D DDE (Diploma In Dance Education) qualification, the government recognised examination for all dance teachers in Modern Theatre and Tap at The Deborah Day Theatre School.

In 2012 Emily joined the academy and enjoys working alongside Michelle preparing the children for I.S.T.D examinations and the annual shows. Emily also teaches the dance classes at St David's Prep and has taught at various other teaching establishments. In September 2015 she opened her own school in Crayford.

Emily also holds a current DBS (Disclosure & Barring) certificate as well as a chaperones licence and a first aid certificate.
